Today our New Horizons Orchestra played our Christmas Concert in the elegant Joseph Smith Building Mezzinine. It's our second year, but a dream come true for me. I wanted to learn to play the violin. Tried for more than a year when I was 30, but with teaching school and my father's cancer and death it was difficult to practice. Writing down on a ten year time capsule wish goals list that I wanted to play in an orchestra seemed very far fetched. How can someone who doesn't know how to play do that? It seems writing a wish down makes it come true--the power of written promises is profound. A beginning orchestra for adults was perfect for me! I'm grateful for my upgraded Bouvier violin--a better version of my first one. I'm grateful to play in an orchestra. My guardian angel must be close by granting my wish.
